Crypta Balbi

La Crypta Balbi è un isolato del centro storico di Roma dove sorgeva in antico un vasto portico, la Crypta Balbi, annesso al teatro che Lucio Cornelio Balbo aveva eretto nel 13 a.C.  Sul lato orientale del portico, e inclusi nel perimetro dell’isolato moderno, si estendono una serie di isolati antichi rappresentati nella Forma urbis marmorea, i cui edifici sono in parte visitabili.
